Enjoyable story
I enjoyed hearing about their decision to retire, sell everything and see the world. For many reasons, I feel it would be hard to make such decision.
I will admit to shedding a tear upon hearing their version and experience of 9/11. A very difficult time in world history for so many.
Looking forward to the next novel, Crossing Pirate Waters, to learn about how their journey ends.

Mediocre Story and Annoying Reading
The story in this audio book is rather mediocre and highlights how terrible these two are at sailing. Their ignorance of sailing and seamanship is astounding, as is their lack of knowledge regarding many of the places they visited.
I almost gave up on this book due to the lack knowledge of sailing terminology and also the frequently mispronounced words and names.
Ironically the book is titled "Escape from the Ordinary" but their journey seemed pretty ordinary and at times tedious.
