About this listen
Is anybody out there?
After a long winter spent hunkering down in Wyoming, Bree, Nate, and the gang are back on the road. The harsh temperatures up in the northern regions might have decimated the undead scourge somewhat, but soon they have to face reality: it's not just zombies that are out there to hunt people down and kill them. For humanity to have a fighting chance to rebuild a semblance of civilization, everyone will have to work together - and resources are scarce. Someone will have to go out there and face the danger - and maybe find out what happened to the undead that were smart enough to flee the cold. Only the strong and smart have survived, making everyday life just a little more deadly for everyone.

Great- spoiler
I started the first of this series feeling disappointed over the fact that he seems to hate women. I have never been a feminist nor a women’s rights activist. However, this author has a weird obsession with sex scenes and relationships where Nate is domineering and over the top. Despite this it got better. The main male character still dominates the female lead and the female lead is always struggling with her ability to be strong etc... it’s a walking cliche. The only other strong female lead is a short haired soldier who is more manly than most. They do try to insinuatetht the fact she has feelings adds to the group but it lacks depth. The main characters are infected and they try to use this as an excuse for the lack of depth to characters. But I love me a zombie novel and have listened to worse

Great zombie series!
I've just finished listening to book 5 of this series and am now in that depression that happens because there's no more (for now). I loved the entire series. And it actually gets better with more amped action with each book. Definitely recommend the series. Especially for others like me who like strong female protagonists with extremely minimal and non soppy romance.
