About this listen

Equileena is a sweet and rather shy person. She seems just a little bit out of reach, but no one can really put their finger exactly on why. She was found as a baby in the toilets of the police station and immediately brought to the city orphanage.

Our story begins 10 years later when she arrives at Huminals, the sister organization to the city orphanage, and a sanctuary for horses, cats, and dogs, as well as a home for parentless children. It’s at Huminals that she feels like her life has suddenly morphed from the black and white daily routine of the city into a full vivid colour wild adventure.

On her first day at Huminals, she is introduced to Laurie, who immediately takes her under her wing, and introduces her to the “good stuff”, things about the orphanage that no one else knows. Equileena can’t believe her eyes or her ears, but delights in all that she is discovering. She had wished for years for her life to truly begin, but had thought she would have to wait for the freedom of adulthood. Had she known what lay ahead, she would have been much more careful about what she had wished for....
