Emmy glæder sig rigtig (rigtig) meget, til hun skal konfirmeres, og hun ved fuldstændigt, hvordan den store dag bliver helt perfekt. Man skal have en fuldt udarbejdet ønskeseddel, finde den perfekte kjole, køres fra kirken i hvid limousine og selvfølgelig have fundet det perfekte sted at holde festen - med den helt perfekte menu til.

Desværre Emmy må indse, at der er rigtig langt imellem hendes drøm om en fest på det fine sted Hvide Okse og hendes mors pengepung, der snarere dikterer Karlager Forsamlingshus. Oven i det opdager hun, at der faktisk er nogle mennesker, fx en af hendes nærmeste veninder (og præsten!), som tager det der med Gud og konfirmation ret seriøst.
