About this listen

Embsy is a teenager whose biggest problem is that her scientist mom is ready to date again. How could her mom go to Alaska to work for the summer, meet some dumb guy, and mess up their perfect life? Then the crash happens.

Now Embsy is stranded in the mountains of Alaska and must use her wit to overcome her injuries and survive long enough to navigate the wilderness. Inspired by wilderness classics such as “Hatchet” and “My Side of the Mountain”, Embsy was written for my nieces to nudge a narrative on the strength and creativity of young women.

Enjoyed it!

Overall really nice book, well paced and not at all boring. I liked the ending though it felt a little abrupt. I was sorta hoping for more!
