too technical
The book didn't seem to know what it wanted to be. a detective whodunnit or an action flick. The author was recommended to me by a friend but his writing style can be extremely mechanical and devoid of life at times.
The voice actor was good but he couldn't make up for the arduous technical description of rifle barrels or armour plating on a specific model of helicopter.
That out of the way, parts of it were a very compelling listen. I did end up enjoying it, even if the beginning was a little clunky.
