About this listen
Would you die for the one you love?
Nixon Abandonato made his choice. And now he has to pay the price. Tracey is the love of his life, but being with him has made her a target of his family's enemies. The only way to keep Trace alive is convince the world she means nothing to him.
Trace Rooks has fallen irrevocably in love with the son of her family's sworn rival, and she knows in her bones nothing can tear them apart. Until Nix suddenly pushes her away and into the arms of his best friend... But Trace isn't ready to give up on a future with Nix - and if he won't fight for them, she will.
In the end, a sacrifice must be made. A life for a life. For what better way to cover a multitude of sins than with the blood of a sinner...

Narrator was good, the book… not so much
Seriously annoyed and disappointed, I expected more considering the jacked up price on the kindle book and audiobook and got a ridiculous storyline. What mob boss would sub as a physics professor to catch out another young mob boss potentially caring about a girl? Why would he care? And no, the so called explanation and ‘intricacies’ was ridiculous. In what universe would they care about that? Okay another ridiculous idea, so why would someone who loves someone push them to be with their cousin/brother/best friend (btw that wasn’t explained properly and made no sense) without any (and I mean any) logic? Don’t get me started on the redeemed rapist…him blanking out and becoming a rapist not really being his fault due to childhood trauma and the fact that he saw that Trace didn’t want him. Trace is fickle and was more or less a moron and the males were also idiots. What was up with the cows? What a waste of money and time! Not much was explained or made sense. Only upside was the narrator but considering the reading material, so not worth it! Was this written as a joke?
