En 1940, Blanca es la única heredera de una de las más prestigiosas familias de joyeros de Barcelona, la desaparecida joyería Amat, y la joven y su madre tratan de sobrevivir en plena posguerra. Blanca recibe unas joyas de estilo Art Nouveau diseñadas por su prima Elsa, de la que solo sabe que murió joven. En 1905, Elsa cumple su sueño de aprender diseño de joyas en el taller familiar, pero nadie confía en sus diseños.
