Pero la obsesion de haber sido la causa de la muerte de un inocente embarga al ahora poderoso protagonista y el resto de la historia cuenta sus intentos de rehabilitacion. Es una fantasia ironica que es considerada una de las grandes novelas del ilustre escritor, ya que tiene vigencia permanente.
