Publisher's Summary
"While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their images with sheer, almost irrational force, I've found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition." (From the prologue)

Interesting
The book was modern. I particularly liked the podcast added to the end. Great book that is worth a read.

Excellent book - know the importance self mastery.
A wonderful companion to the obstacle is the way. While at times it almost seems self deprecating in it's nature, it delivers wonderfully salient points that we need to remember. Very enjoyable and thought provoking.

Spot on!
A must for anyone starting in business. I couldn't fault a single point he made. Well sourced, philosophically sound. Every young person starting out should read this book.

Very American
Interesting book and narrated well, but lots of the examples of ego driven (or non-ego driven) individuals in time were very america and hard to relate to, e.g. US military

What a surprise
Its lie walking in to winery that you’ve never heard of before and found a wonderful surprise. You always remember it. Very earthy in a challenging competitive world. When you get to the end you feel a whole wiser for the experience. Great book.

Useful insights into self
Enjoyed most of this immensely. Except when my ego was triggered, which is useful.

Conan, what is good in life!
As someone with a rather high opinion of himself I was skpetical about how much value I'd get from this book. I was almost immediately surprised and delighted by it. I would recommend this to anyone who has aspirations and ambitions. This was a much needed splash of cold water in my face, and a fantastic read to boot.
