About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Read by award-winning narrator Jeff Harding.

**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**

Jack Reacher, adrift in the hellish heat of a Texas summer.

Looking for a lift through the vast empty landscape. A woman stops, and offers a ride. She is young, rich and beautiful.

But her husband's in jail. When he comes out, he's going to kill her.

Her family's hostile, she can't trust the cops, and the lawyers won't help. She is entangled in a web of lies and prejudice, hatred and murder.

Jack Reacher never could resist a lady in distress.

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Echo Burning is 5th in the series.

"Complete with crackling fast dialogue, an edgy ambivalent plot, and the capacity to make his readers turn the page, this feels like Child's breakthrough book into the mega-sellers. He is that good." (Daily Mail)

‘Jeff Harding’s [...] narration captures Reacher’s character perfectly [...] you have to savour every minute.’ The Sunday Times

One of my favourite Reacher's

Jeff Harding IS Jack Reacher. His narration is always brilliant. Echo Burning is a great read, twists and turns, action, drama, sharp moves, sharp brain.

Alot of holes in plot, but still good

Hate the music that plays randomly.
A few I don't understand how they don't just shoot him.

story was a classic Reacher, recording was a bit off

great novel, classic sleuthing and excitement of a Jack Reacher novel, however, Jeff hoardings delivery in the audiobook was different and a little hard to enjoy compared to the earlier books. there was also random sections of music underlying the story which had no purpose and was quite distracting.

Overall, great book and I can wait to binge the next

Best narrator for a Reacher novel so far.

Great story line with an interesting setting which in Lee Childs usual style is described in great detail. strong female characters. worth the listen.

Another solid reacher novel

What the hell was with the weird music bits? Otherwise pretty damn good. Curious to see how he keeps it going.

Great plot, great narration

One of the twistiest plots. Never sure just exactly what is going on until the end! I've had to listen to it twice, as I missed some of the turns the first time through!

Reacher rides again

I am somewhat addicted to the Reacher series. Fast paced and no holds barred, which I find somewhat refreshing. I just wish I started reading them earlier.

The only criticism I have of this audiobook is that the narrator didn’t announce new chapters, which made it a little hard to find where I was up to if I drifted off to sleep. That being said, it’s only a small issue and didn’t detract from my enjoyment
