About this listen

Alien nano machines grant everyone stats and levels...while giving rise to a new race of cybernetic horrors. Human civilizations crumbles, a crushed alien ship their only hope.

As a martial arts instructor, Nori has always had a simple purpose in life: Help underprivileged kids build confidence and self-discipline. Now she'll have to do so for everyone else, too.

It all started with a mist, one that gave everyone stats and levels, but also disabled technology and transformed animals and humans into cybernetic horrors that preyed on the living. Within months of its inception, civilization had crumbled.

When Nori and two terrified students find a crushed alien spacecraft, they also find a glimmer of hope. Though damaged and barely functional, the vessel presents mankind with its first chance to retake the world from the unrelenting monsters. Using the new System, a vast universe of possibilities beckons them to restore and upgrade the ship into becoming humanity's new beacon of hope…but only if they can survive the relentless onslaught of mutated beasts.

Entertaining for the younger set...

If you're a fan of stepping into the virtual world or have a younger reader who can't get enough of gaming, then "Earth Force Boxset: The Complete Series (Books 1-3)" could be a solid choice for your reading list.

The series skillfully blends elements of science fiction, gaming, and youthful adventure. It's like going on a journey through galaxies and alien civilizations from the comfort of your own gaming console. However, as charming as it can be, the series doesn't quite manage to reach the stars.

While the plot lines are easy to follow and the gaming elements are appealing to young minds, the series lacks depth at certain points. It would benefit from a more intricate plot and characters with stronger development.

Yet, there's something undeniable about its charm. The narrative is quick-paced and lively, and the gaming sequences are genuinely enjoyable. Each book is akin to leveling up in a game, offering just enough novelty to keep you interested.

"Earth Force Boxset: The Complete Series" won't revolutionize your perception of science fiction or gaming narratives, but it doesn't necessarily have to. Sometimes, a light and easy-to-digest series is just what you need for a break, especially for younger readers keen to explore the genre.

All in all, this is a decent read. It's not perfect, but it's fun, light-hearted, and enjoyable. A solid 3 out of 5 for a series that may just inspire a love for reading in its younger audience and is perfect for gaming enthusiasts.

An awesome read..i mean listen 😅

This is another excellent addition to Shemer's writing credits! The writing is top notch, the characters all fleshed out and Jeff Hays knocked the narration out of the park!

I only wish there was more books coming as I want to know what happens next!

Great performance - good story but abrupt end

Feels like it was intended as a much longer series, seems to switch gears to the ends pretty abruptly. It’s very good but wish it had more time to develop.

Early Review

Decided to write my early impressions after 4 chapters... If you are hoping for some compelling clever writing you won't find it here. The story telling feels like it is written for teenagers. The Lani characters voice changes regularly. It transitions from a high pitched imitation of a spoilt 5 year old to a young adults voice almost in the same conversation. This character is also so stupid and panicky that she is already spoiling the flow of the story for me. The tale itself is so far quite imaginative and keeps the interest going but I'm hoping the characters flesh out a bit and behave more realistically or I don't know if I will get through this long long book.
