About this listen

Marshall

I hate Valentine Tye.

I’ve hated him since we were ten years old. I hate everything he is, everything he stands for. Even the mention of his name gets my back up.

And when I see him?

My blood boils. My jaw clenches and my hands curl into fists. That’s how much I hate him.

I want to cause him pain. I want to hold him down and actually hurt him.

And if that’s not bad enough, that’s exactly what he wants me to do to him.

Valentine

I know what people think of me. I know what they assume. They all think I’m some spoiled rich guy who’s had everything handed to him.

They don’t know me at all.

Behind my carefully constructed walls is an emptiness so dark it scares men away. I like pain. I like being used. For some messed up reason, it validates me. I don’t need love or affection or, hell forbid, emotional attachment.

What I need is a man who hates me, a man who despises me.

A man like Marshall Wise.

Because never in a million years would he ever feel anything for me.

Right?

Perfect!

Loved it! So spicy, so sweet. Loved their hatred at the beginning and how it evolved as they got to know each other more. Set in Sydney too which was fun!

Brilliant

EWB is a fantastic read/listen. It was my first experience with both N.R. Walker and narrator Glenn Lloyd. Both are outstanding and I will be buying more books from both. Walker creates genuine and well crafted characters in Valentine and Marshall. Walker captures the Australian mates/rugby essence perfectly. Her writing is superb. Glenn Lloyd is one of the best narrators I’ve ever listened to. He is instantly my fav narrator after one listen.

The best audiobook experience I have had in a very long time. Also the best enemies to lovers book I’ve listened to ever. 5 stars, don’t miss this.

“Holy Shit”. Loved it!

Such a great listen. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Coming from an Aussie, the narrator did an amazing job.

Story of Marshall and Valentine

This is an enemies with benefits to more romance, featuring Marshall and Valentine, and is a standalone book.

I put off reading this because I kept getting distracted by other books but I was driving home the yesterday and I really wanted to listen to a book, so I pressed play. I’m glad I did. I really enjoyed it.

The beginning was a bit full on, with the enemies with benefits kick off, but as the story progressed and feelings started to come out, it was kind of sweet seeing them try and navigate it all. Valentine’s dad was a bit of an a-hole but the rest of the secondary characters were supportive and great sidekicks.

Glen Lloyd is so entertaining with the narration. Loving the Aussie accents.

Ps: the turtleneck on the cover makes so much sense now
