About this listen
The body of a woman has been discovered inside the gates of MIT, draped in an unusual cloth. An examination reveals that the body is covered in a fine dust that under ultra-violet light fluoresces blood-red, emerald-green and sapphire-blue. As Kay Scarpetta pieces together the evidence, she draws herself and her team deeper into the dark world of designer drugs, drone technology and shocking corruption at the highest level.

Enjoyable
I enjoyed this part of the Scarpetta journey & found the performance adds depth to the tale, as always.
Cornwall crafts a detail oriented story & Lorelei King gives it life.

I enjoy Lorelei King as the narrator, she does the voices well and gives a good sense of the characters.

Poorly written and over halfway NOTHING happening
Well over halfway through and this is going nowhere fast, endless referrals to things that happened in previous books, i doubt i'll bother finishing this one and will return it if i can

Disappointing
I have been a fan of Cornwell for years and have avidly followed Scarpetta. I read the less than encouraging reviews of this latest book but decided that I should make my own decision; unfortunately they were correct. This book is poorly written and the dialogue very stilted and false sounding. Even intense exchanges between Kay and Benton sound far removed from reality. The story line is all over the place not realistic. I stuck with the book almost to the end - 1:54 left - but couldn't bring myself to finish it.
