Winter was supposed to be a time for Ard to relax and train; instead, he finds himself repairing a ruined city. it's consistent at least?

it's consistent in the fact that there is no character growth outside of strength and skill. he's also spineless when it comes to everything except the health of his anchors and family. Author has spent more time thinking of retorts and quips then actual world building and story progression
