About this listen

I've said it before, but sometimes I'm a bad person. I cheated on my 12th-grade math final, I've run countless yellow lights, and I gossip about how hot my kickass best friends are. (Good thing my job as a guild bartender doesn't require moral perfection.)

But there's bad, and then there's bad. And I'm not sure which applies to a certain dark druid/wanted criminal/reluctant friend of mine. His transgressions include black-magic dealings, kidnapping, and murder, and he's about to add "revenge-fueled killing spree" to his resume - if I don't stop him.

Should I stop him?

He and his nemesis are gearing up to tear each other apart, rogues and vultures are converging with their sights on the spoils, and the guilds that would normally stomp them into the ground are under attack. We're on the verge of an all-out criminal turf war, and my time to decide is almost up.

Who's the real bad guy...and do I dare stand in his way?

Make sure to check out the companion series, The Guild Codex: Demonized, available now, and The Guild Codex: Warped, coauthored by Rob Jacobsen.

Where's the next one ???

Another great edition. Things are developing between Tori & Ezra but he might be running out time for it to continue. But Ezra may not be the only best friend Tori loses. The Druid Zac makes an appearance but things do not go well. Ends on a cliff hanger >_<.

Enjoyable

After going full steam ahead with this series I’ve churned through each book in a day or so up until this point. This addition was great but I have no stopped and switched to the Demon series as I can see that those books which focus on a new character introduced in this series will probably play a big role in what’s to come. With this in mind I jumped on the authors website and had a look at her recommended reading order and have decided to follow. My reason is I would like to know more about her story and I feel that if I continue on to the conclusion of this series it will give away the co series storyline and I won’t enjoy it as much.
As you can tell, I’ve really enjoyed this authors story telling and the world she has created for her characters. Very captivating whilst also being quite an easy read/listen. It makes for a nice change from the more adult books which can sometimes sacrifice story development for steamy romps (which isn’t always a bad thing, just a nice change)

Tory and Co are on form

Clever follow-up to the other stories in the series, and equally clever weaving of Robin's story. Our Heroes are all in hot water of some kind, but I depend on the author to get them out at the end of the final title.

Enjoyable. Not as good as earlier books in series

Twists, magic and adventure. Betrayal, love and lust. This story improves on the preceeding Amaretto novel, but in general I think these most recent books are losing in cohesion and finesse compared to the earlier novels. Perhaps Annette Marie is trying to pump out the novels in too great a quantity. Still plenty to enjoy hear and an easy listen.

Awesome story

Such a great story by Annette Marie, I'm impatiently waiting for the next book, huge cliff hanger ending. Chis Dukehart narration was fantastic as per normal.
