About this listen

Miranda Puckett has failed at every job she’s ever had. Her mother just wants her to come home, join the family law firm, and settle down with Jason, the perfect lawyer boyfriend. But when Jason turns out to be a lying cheater, Miranda seizes on a job that gets her out of town: long-distance vampire transportation.

Her first assignment is to drive vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to sleepy Half Moon Hollow without incident—no small feat for a woman whom trouble seems to follow like a faithful hound dog! And she has to do it without letting her passenger—the most persnickety, stuffy, devastatingly handsome vamp she’s ever met—drive her crazy. As she and Collin find disaster on the roads, they also find an undeniable spark between them. Could Miranda have found the perfect job and the perfect guy for her?

Book 5.5

Please note this is book 5.5 after Care and feeding of stay vampires. Currently out of order in the Audible listing.

Good book otherwise, light reading enjoyable addition to the series. Just makes more sense in the correct order as new characters were introduced.

Miranda becomes a chauffeur to a vampire

What do you do when you're business goes belly up and you finally admit your fiance is a lying cheating waste of space? Well, you take a job chauffeuring a fussy anal retentive vampire across the country of course.

OR

Miranda takes a job with Beeline and changes the course of her life.

Yet another delightfully funny Half Moon Hollow book from Molly Harper, very entertainingly narrated by Amanda Ronconi.

Not quite as good as earlier in series

while I did mostly enjoy this, for what it was, I am glad I didn't use a full credit to buy it. It's closer to a novella than complete story (why does audible charge full credit for 1/2 length novels?) Not the action/mystery/drama/character exploration and development of the earlier books, just a road trip. more like an old 1940s light hearted romp, and maybe it was inspired by earlier era films with the references to Cary Grant. also, while largely impressed by narrator in earlier ones, she didn't do as great with this one on the male lead - he sounded like an old man, and not a British one at that. odd, since in my view she did really well with the male voices before.
