About this listen
Notoriously bad at peopling, Isadora Savoie spends most of her time in the greenhouse or at the local animal shelter, using her Conduit powers of growth and healing.
Content to remain in the background of the Savoie sister shenanigans, she’s reluctantly roped into the mystery of missing neighborhood girls. Now, she’s partnered with a flashy, flirty vampire to find them before it’s too late.
Devraj Kumar has seen and done it all. Three hundred years roaming the Earth as a Stygorn - a legendary vampire warrior who operates in the shadows - has its perks. But ennui has set in. That is, until he has a run-in - literally - with an intriguing witch while on a new assignment in New Orleans. Fascinated by her resistance to his charms, Devraj can’t help but push her buttons in an effort to get to know the shy witch. Fortunately for him, she’s been recruited by the Lord of Vampires to assist Devraj on the case.
Between a Bollywood marathon, supernatural dating app, secret package, and sexy driving instruction, Isadora is in over her head. And Devraj? After just one taste, he’s playing for keeps.

Better with audio
I loved this book so much, but I loved it more in audio. Johanna Fairview’s performance as Isadora is animated, expressive and full of sass. Aiden Snow was all growls excellence. A highly enjoyable listen.

Great series, dodgy pronunciation
Love this series and normally love these narrators but dear lord can voice actors PLEASE check the pronunciations of words especially the names of places and things from other cultures. Some things were painful to hear.
If you are voicing a character from Varanasi, please learn to pronounce Varanasi.

Cutie Patooties!
Other than the accent slips and differences—from the male narrator, sorry—Isadora and Devraj were still so frkn adorable 💗
But the tortured Ruben and the stubborn Jules? Henry's appearance and Clara's description of him ??? CUTEEEE 🥰

Nowhere as good as the first book
I quit it 1/3 of the way through, mostly because of Aiden Snow’s atrocious overacting. He did an excellent job in Wolf Gone Wild, but sounds about a fake and dramatic as it is possible to get in this book.
The characters are not as likeable either.
I can’t recommend this book. Read the previous one instead.

fun story, poor male narrator choice.
I actually enjoyed the mostly fun storyline, and characters. female narrator does great job, even more so with male leads dialogue- went for accent to match character and not over acted. aiden snow really only suits certain characters and storylines, as he tends to over act and dramatise when he really doesn't need to, and he clearly doesn't want or cannot try to do any voice but his, I.e an accent to match character. unfortunately they kept him for this one, and it undermines enjoyment.
