About this listen

More of Our Stories

These are stories about women in abusive relationships. They tell us about what actually went on inside their homes. Some have survived by going into hiding, finding out our legal system doesn’t work, and others didn’t make it out alive. A few have been helped through the legal system.

These stories are all too real for a lot of women, seeing them as their stories.

But they all share a common goal, they want the abuse to stop. Many feel trapped for a number of reasons, but mainly because of their financial situation which makes it next to impossible for them to leave, thereby forcing them to stay.

Things need to change for women and their children. The abuse needs to stop. The abuser needs to be punished, not just slapped on the wrist.
