Doktor med. John Dolittle liebt Tiere: Bei ihm im Haus leben z.B. Dab-Dab, die Ente, Göb-Göb, das Schweinchen, Jip, der Hund, die Eule Tuh-Tuh und die Papageiendame Polynesia. Als seine menschlichen Patienten mehr und mehr ausbleiben, lässt er sich von Polynesia die Spache der Tiere beibringen und wird Tierarzt. So kann er zum Glück den Affen zur Hilfe eilen, als in Afrika eine schreckliche Krankheit ausbricht! Zum Dank bekommt er ein besonders seltenes Tier geschenkt: ein Stoßmich-Ziehdich. Alle, die noch nie von einem solchen Tier gehört haben, sollten ganz schnell zu diesem Hörbuch greifen!
