About this listen

Award winning sci-fi writer Michael Moorcock writes a thrilling all-new adventure featuring the 11th Doctor and Amy.

There are dark tides running through the universe - so strong they swallow light and threaten Captain Cornelius's familiar existence; if unchecked they will absorb the whole of Creation. But for now he tracks into the solar winds, searching for the only being he acknowledges as his peer: who is known simply as 'the Doctor'.

It did not grab my full attention.

There were times when this story well and truely lost me. The story had too many crucial characters, it tried to be too complex and had too much unnecessary detail. I found myself wandering off at times and was not bothered to rewind to find out what I missed (which didn't seem to matter).
I also struggled with the DW characters... I think the personalities of the characters did not match with Matt Smith's Doctor and Amy Pond. Perhaps Peter Davies' Doctor and a companion would've fitted better...?!
As a DW fan, I did like this book, I enjoyed the new worlds and adventures I was taken on, I just didn't love it and probably wouldn't listen to it again.
