Quinn Alexander has committed an unthinkable crime.

But when an unexpected snowstorm forces her off the road, Quinn must take refuge at the broken-down, isolated Baxter Motel. The handsome and kindly owner, Nick Baxter, is only too happy to offer her a cheap room for the night.
Unfortunately, the Baxter Motel isn't the quiet safe haven it seemed to be. The motel has a dark and disturbing past. And in the dilapidated house across the way, the silhouette of Nick's ailing wife is always at the window. Always watching.
In the morning, Quinn must leave the motel. She'll pack up her belongings and get back on the road to freedom.
But first, she must survive the night.

twist I didn't see coming
fast paced, enjoyable read. kept me guessing. really loving this author, and good narrator, couldn't stop listening 😍

It was not as capturing and shocking as her other books.
This book was wasy to listen to, a little hard to get invested in the characters. Also the plot twist was not as exciting as some of her other books.

Enjoyable start to finish
Frieda McFadden is quickly becoming one of my favorite Authors this is the second of her books I've listened to and I'm on to my third. this book was gripping and I enjoyed it right up to the end.

The Twists & Turns
Keeps you intrigued, wanting to know more and the characters are portrayed well by the narrators. I had a hard time putting this book down.

Great book
Lots of twist and turns with the characters in this book, lots of suspense. I really enjoyed it. Will be listening to more of Freida Books.

Farfetched story and grating narration
Definitely not one of Freida’s better stories. The characters are all incredibly shallow, unbelievable and dramatic. The twists are meh, gratuitous even.
The story wasn’t helped by the narrator, who half the time sounded like she was talking through a sock puppet, and the other half like she was about to burst into tears.

So good!
She has done it again! You can honestly never go wrong with a Freida McFadden book. This book was amazing. I could not stop listening and the plot twist had me gasping!

The terrible narrator.
The authors of these books need to vet the narrators as this adds to the quality of the AUDIBLE. This narrator was not right for this book. I felt like the story would have come across so much better if the narrator was not so whiney and annoying. I’m sorry. But a narrator on an audio book can make or break a book.

Twists and turns and secrets oh my!
Engaging and paced well.
I wasn't surprised by Greta.
It would have been nice to see what happened to Rob after everything.
