Publisher's Summary
Sometimes being wrong is the right answer.
Nick Hayes’ genius is in wringing out the universe’s secrets. It’s a talent that’s allowed him to carve paths through time. But the worst part is that he knows how his story will end. He’s seen it with his own eyes. And every year that passes, every breakthrough he makes, brings him a step closer. Mia’s accident is waiting for them both in 2011. If it happens then he’s out of choices.
Then a chance 1992 discovery reveals that this seeker of truth has been lying to himself. But why? It’s a question that haunts him for years. A straw he clings to as his long-awaited fate draws near.
Time travel turns out not to be the biggest problem Nick has to work on. He needs to find out how he can stay on his path but change the destination. Failure has never been an option, and neither has survival. But Nick’s hoping to roll the dice one more time. And this new truth begins with a lie.

some interesting ideas
fresh take on the mechanics of time travel but the story overall is a bit meh and the narrator sounds like ai sometimes. mark's other work is much better.

Stunning
Big fan of Marks work. This trilogy was so different from his other work, but did not fail to deliver!
Really interesting story with plenty of twists and turns to keep the audience on their toes. And the narrator did an excellent job delivering the story with enough creativity to bring the characters to life without detracting from the story.
I’d highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who enjoys great literature and is a fan of well structured audiobooks.
For anyone taking note of this review, I would highly recommend ALL of Mark Lawrence’s many other books (starting with “Prince of Thorns”)
And would also like to HIGHLY recommend the work of Patrick Rothfuss, starting with “The name of the Wind”
Terrific work Mark. Looking forward to more work from you soon.

Witty & easy to listen to
I loved the monologue in this slightly mind bending time travelling story.
Sometimes the plot seemed to flag though and the ending, while an interesting perspective was a little predictable.
I also enjoyed the narrator's performance and delivery of this story.
I love this authors work though.
I often found myself chuckling or
laughing out loud! There's alot of deep and insightful, thought provoking words that will leave me pondering life choices and alternative realities for some time!! Thanks Mark, always entertaining 👍 👍
