Leo würde so gerne beim Vorlesewettbewerb das Skateboard seiner Träume gewinnen! Und dann die Skater-Meisterschaft. Vom Preisgeld kauft er dann einen Sportrollstuhl für seine allerbeste Freundin Lucy – ihrer eiert nämlich. Guter Plan, nur ist Leo leider der grottigste Leser der Welt. Doch zum Glück weiß Lucy immer einen Rat! Bis zum Wettbewerb müssen allerdings noch viele andere Abenteuer bestanden werden – zusammen mit Hund Blumenkohl, reichlich schrägen Nachbarn und dem komischen Cornelius aus dem Horror-Weg.
