About this listen

From USA Today best-selling author Parker S. Huntington comes an enemies-to-lovers, slow-burn romance full of revenge and a dash of fate.

"She could enjoy her pretty, perfect world a little longer. Soon enough, everything she owned would be mine."

I had a plan to escape the friend zone. Step one: sneak into Reed’s room. Step two: sleep with him.

But when the lights turned on, it wasn’t familiar blue eyes I saw. These were dark, angry, and full of demons. And they belonged to Reed’s much-older brother.

Four years later, Nash Prescott is no longer the help’s angry son. I’m no longer the town’s prized princess. At 22, I’m broke, in need of a job. At 32, he’s a billionaire, in need of revenge. Who cares if my family ruined his? Who cares if he looks at me with pure loathing? Who cares if every task he assigns me is designed to torture? I need the money. Simple as that. I’ll suffer his cruelty in silence, knowing there’s one thing he wants more than revenge. Me.

Please note: This is a full-length stand-alone novel in the Cruel Crown world.

Worth it

Loved the story! Read it first then had to listen. Sebastian nailed Nash, wasn’t the biggest fan of Desireé’s Emery but it didn’t take away from the story as she did grow on me.
Worth the credit. Parker did it again.

Absolutely loved this

The banter in this is top tier. Ive had this in my tbr for a long time. Loved Delilah and Rosco the world's ugliest dog and his canopy dog bed. This will be a re-read at some stage 💖 and the Sebastian York reference 🤣🤣🤣

ENTHRALLING

I loved how she had special words for certain situations. Gosh she made me wanna look up at sky. It made her journey beautiful, I thought. Found it very hilarious but three quarters through, I started laughing a bit more. Love her chat with the ceiling the most, but don't call me the crazy one. When I read a good book and like the story line, it's a compliment to the author. I love reading so I can learn words I've never heard of before and this book was amazing for that.

Divine

Enthralled from the first sentence. Definitely verbose but that’s the whole point of it. Absolutely loved the quirkiness of both main characters. Their darkness and depth of understanding of their regret and emotional understanding. God almighty, loved Sebastian York performance and the young lady’s southern accent. Had to listen at least twice, was a little taken by Nash malice towards Emery. This has been one of my favourite books in a while. Lagom 💗

Fallen for Nash and Emery

This was an enjoyable story. Dragged in parts but full of humour, drama and love. You can't help but fall in love with Nash and Emery's story. A clear example of how love happens in it's own time. Nearly 16 hours long but worth listening to.
