About this listen

Live-in tutor wanted for four-year-old. Must be willing to relocate to a remote mountain estate. $3K/week cash.

On the run from ruthless killers, I’m down to 10 bucks in my wallet and a half-tank of gas in my ancient car when I spot the ad. The job sounds like the answer to my prayers, but there’s a catch.

The child’s father is the most beautiful, most dangerous man I’ve ever met.

Darkly seductive and filthy rich, Nikolai Molotov is a tantalizing mystery, a lethally alluring contradiction. Bruised knuckles and tailored suits, tender endearments and dirty promises - my new employer draws me in like a magnet, even as my instincts scream for me to run.

I should’ve heeded them...because I’m not the only one with secrets.

My safe haven just might be the devil’s lair, and once he’s claimed me, it will be too late to run.

A new favourite mafia romance

I really loved this first book. It had a lot of mystery and that undeniable pull at first sight kind of love.

I felt like the relationship between the main characters moved extremely fast but I think that was the whole point as it cemented their instant attraction/fated love situation. The angst was low as the story progresses quite quickly.

The anti hero is the perfect mix of rough & soft. He’s possessive & protective but not controlling, yet I feel that’s all about to change in the next book!

There’s still a lot of unanswered questions leading into book 2 and I’m hooked! I’ll be jumping straight into the next one.

Narrators were amazing. Teddy is my absolute fav!

Does end on a cliffhanger but is so worth it!

This was an amazing audiobook! I read the blurb and saw the narrators and knew that this book would be one that I would love. Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton are both some of my favourite narrators and this book shows why. Ava Erickson always seems to hold the right sense of sensuality and innocence with her characters which really helps with the description in my head. This is the same case with Teddy Hamilton but the image he gives off always ranges in the stories he reads and they always end up amazing with his rich baritone voice that adds the right amount of sensuality and strength. This is definitely a book I would recommend to those who think they might like it. I hope you find you love it just as much as I do. Enjoy!

This is a nail biting cliff hanger so Anna Zaires I'm champing at the bit for Angels Cage please hurry.

Good

Good story, although character development is a bit lacking. But was interesting enough to keep me listening until the end. Narrators were great. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
