Publisher's Summary

It’s kill or be killed in the diamond mines of Mars.

When Luke finds the biggest diamond ever seen on two worlds, trouble immediately finds him in the form of his partner, Winston. Desperate to survive, he must fight the environment due to Winston cutting a hole in his suit. Killing his foe in self-defense starts even more trouble for him – the stolen diamond goes missing; Janie, Winston’s sister, and her wife argue the self-defense ruling; and a friend is mysteriously murdered.

Luke desperately searches for his diamond. Along the way, he tries to keep the peace with Janie. Luckily, he is aided by his best friend, and a quirky girl named Summer. Getting out of trouble with the law is one thing, but avoiding running into Janie who is hell-bent on revenge is another. Her wife is questionable on whether she’ll help Janie’s quest to off Luke or help keep the peace.

Luke is also desperate for a score due to his mounting debt. If he can’t get his diamond back, he needs to find something else worthwhile to mine. Mars is big, and precious stones are hard to find, so this adds another obstacle in his way. Can he stay alive to accomplish his goals? Or is he destined to join Winston in a grave?
