Der Fremde erzählt er täglich neue Geschichten... Doch dann kommt die Pest und viele Leichen. Gita darf nicht mehr kommen. Doch eines Tages kommt Gita und warnt den Fremden vor den anderen, die in ihm die Ursache für den "Tod in der Stadt" sieht. Doch durch einen unglücklichen Unfall kommt Gita zu Tode. Rainer Maria Rilke (1875-1926) war ein deutschsprachiger Lyriker. Er gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Dichter der literarischen Moderne.
