In all den Jahren, die Speer in Spandau einsaß, war es Wolters, der dafür sorgte, dass Speers Aufzeichnungen aus der Zelle geschmuggelt wurden und es dem Häftling an nichts fehlte: Kaviar, Champagner, Gänseleberpastete. An einem Sommerabend des Jahres 1971 sitzt Rudolf Wolters in der Suite des Hotels Königshof und diktiert den letzten Brief an Albert Speer, der sich vom Nationalsozialismus losgesagt hat und nun als der "gute Nazi" in der westdeutschen Schickeria herumgereicht wird. Morgen wird Wolters dem Bundesarchiv in Koblenz neues Material vorlegen, weil er sich und die "Bewegung" von Speer verraten fühlt. br />
