About this listen
The "powerful and emotionally charged" fantasy series from the author of the Sevenwaters novels continues, as Blackthorn and Grim face haunting secrets and old adversaries.
Feather bright and feather fine, none shall harm this child of mine.
Healer Blackthorn knows all too well the rules of her bond to the fey: seek no vengeance, help any who ask, do only good. But after the recent ordeal she and her companion, Grim, have suffered, she knows she cannot let go of her quest to bring justice to the man who ruined her life.
Despite her personal struggles, Blackthorn agrees to help the princess of Dalriada in taking care of a troubled young girl who has recently been brought to court while Grim is sent to the girl's home at Wolf Glen to aid her wealthy father with a strange task - repairing a broken-down house deep in the woods. It doesn't take Grim long to realize that everything in Wolf Glen is not as it seems - the place is full of perilous secrets and deadly lies.
Back at Winterfalls, the evil touch of Blackthorn's sworn enemy reopens old wounds and fuels her long-simmering passion for justice. With danger on two fronts, Blackthorn and Grim are faced with a heartbreaking choice - to stand once again by each other's side or to fight their battles alone.

Amazing, Well Done and Worth The Read
I love the entire series. Read the first book a year ago and very quickly fell in love with Blackthorn and Grim. Don’t think I’ve ever brought teo books so fast in my life. I love their relationship. They’re so clearly in love they just don’t know it.
The little snippet from Page 104 of Tower of Thorns is perfect: “I imagined a little house in the forest where I might live without human compassionship and will be as ill-tempered and unsociable as I pleased. But that house had always contained impliments of work quills, parchment and inks; herbs and fungi drying, knives and boards, stoppered jars, jugs and vessels for making of remedies. There’d always be a dog, too, a big ugly one to folks away. The idea od living alone pleased me”
She doesn’t realise the dog in question is Grim. They work so well together. I hope one day Juliet might right a fourth book because I want more of Blackthorn and Grim and their strange adventures and their life at Winterfell. This will definitely be another yearly read for me.

Great main characters.
Great series - though felt the end was a bit over-worked / over-elaborate. Will seek out more Juliet Marillier novels.

Intensely captivating
This is a fantastic trilogy and very satisfying conclusion. The characters Blackthorn and Grim are brilliantly conceived and realised - such unique characters overcoming huge odds with integrity and grit. The creation of the fey world and characters is also enchanting and suitably eerie. I loved the voices of the actors, they felt very true to the characters, once I got used to the American accents.
