Publisher's Summary
History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time.
Alexandria isn’t sure she’s going to make it to her eighteenth birthday - to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she’s a goner…and so is Aiden.
If that’s not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training" - which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time - she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.
But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she’s caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed…and destroyed. Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

Scary but wonderful
The narrator is awful. Sorry but she nearly makes me fall asleep even thru the exciting bits

Addictive series
I’d rather lose a finger than hear one of the MMC’s nicknames for Alex on more time.
Apart from that it’s a fun listen with lots of twists and turns. However, for the first time ever I’m hoping that a third act break up happens in the next book lol.

Great Greek Mythology
Love hearing about the gods and what they are capable of. Narrator uses similar voices for the males, the one for Aiden is strained and I find I can't connect with him as much as I would if I was reading, which is unfortunate. Alex is still annoying but is maturing, so its getting better.
Love blooms and lies unravel. Alex's awakening nears and no one is quite sure what will happen, not even the gods. Leaving on a cliffhanger, its hard to know if she'll still be her or Seth's vessel. Keen for the next one.

I recommend this series
I like the flow and story and the narration.
I enjoyed the characters and how they progress except two, but that's explained below.
I'm glad I kept listening and kept going with this series.

I'm not happy about Seth I preferred him over Aiden. Seth was there for her through all the hard times whereas Aiden kept pulling her along and being hot and cold. I understand why, but that's emotional trauma.
I don't hate Aiden I just prefer Seth he's a way more interesting character and has more depth to him. Anyway rant over I was almost going to stop reading when I noticed how the story was playing out, but I am glad I kept going with this series.

what a roller coaster of emotions WOW
Definitely should not be in the children's section and should come with warnings, regarding triggers for Domestic Violence, physical and sexual abuse along with gaslighting.
THAT SAID, I bloody ❤ ❣ this series. Jennifer certainly knows how to get your emotions flying from one end of the spectrum to the other in the blink of an eye!! Great narration, Characters you love, hate and others you just want to jump into the pages and shake! Alex is one of the 1st 17 yo I've read about of late that actually sounds like a 17 yo. So many main 17yo female characters have the maturity of a 35 yo, This makes this book so much better. Her insecurities, grasping most things in hindsight. As the reader your thinking is she really that daft, then you realise she's 17, I was the same at that age! Going to get the next in the series right now!

omg
Deity by Jennifer l armentrout. Poor Alex can't get a break. When her life seems to get some normalcy out is up ended again. Finally she realised things in book 3 that I thought were frigin obvious from book 1. But I can't wait to see what will happen in the next

Loved it.
Really loved this book. Loved the drama, the action and loved Seth’s and Alex’s bickering. Absolutely in love with Aidan.

Don’t buy this
Listened to this since it was free. The voices and accents the reader puts on are terrible. The book itself is a very poorly written version of vampire academy. The main character is painfully pathetic. This book is more of a young adult read

Heroine got on my nerves!
So the book itself is good, the characters are good but the main heroine got.super frustrating! She made obvious mistakes and missed really obvious clues about things the reader could see coming easily. Sometimes I made me want to shake her or roll my eyes - maybe the narrator made it worse? Apart from that I actually enjoyed the story, but the main character getting on my nerves almost ruined it at times
