About this listen

War has arrived to Zecia.

Zac returns from the Perennial Vastness, finding Earth already embroiled in war. The Kan'Tanu Cult pouring into the sector, determined to make it theirs. The System is fanning the flames with treasures and opportunities, using the conflict to choose candidates for its trial.

A strong arm and a sharp axe isn't enough to keep Earth safe. Zac has to secure the resources and alliances necessary for his empire, all while dealing with the fallout of Leandra's schemes.

But who can he trust? The appearance of the Ultom Courts has set the Multiverse astir. Powerful outsiders are flocking to Zecia in search of fortune, where the local Sealbearers are prey. One wrong move and it's over.

Overall good enough

Most things in this series are great however I am starting to dislike the whole morality and mentality of the MC, gets a reality check when he's selfish for himself and his own armies lives and wellbeing, even though he knows for a fact everyone will kill him when he's not useful to them or they find a way around using him even though every faction is like billions of years old and has more of everything to the point its kinda sad how badly matched he is in every scenario. at any point in the first 15 hours he could of been insta killed and be none the wiser so why author focus on morality when surviving is barely obtainable. makes his own morality a joke and over repeated when he finally starts standing up for himself just to shut himself down due to being greedy or selfish when he's witnessing life mean nothing in a a cruel and hopeless way.

we're moving now...

The plot is moving forward in pace with Zach's growth and its all action. Another great offering from J.F.Brink, and Pavi always wins with his performance. Nice

what kinda b.s. is this

Zack has just spent the last 12 damn books in order to follow a duel path that MERGES life and death only for it to be thrown away in the first few chapters of this book. I mean what was the point of everything he did so that his core would work together if it was just going to be split when he hit D grad anyway. I'm done with this series what a waste of time.

A tired take

I've loved the series, its just tired now. The eccentric descriptions lose their feel and impact this far along and the story just doesn't seem to have any real consequence. Thank you for the ride, but my stop has arrived!

Here's some examples; an unprecedented soul aperture opened vast void holes tens of meters away, decimating vast swathes of elite cultivators triggering deadly swarms of ..... zac was determined... small explosions detonating inside his 9 reincarnation manual... I feel like the author is just throwing words together now haha

Once Great Story arc getting Long winded/tired

I loved all the early books of this story arc - i made it to book 13. But I'm finding they have become more and more focussed on 'mechanics' and less on story, to the point i had trouble listening to this book.
Of it's 24 hours, it's like 1/2 is complex mechanics rumination, 1/4 moralising, which leaves about 1/4 for actual story progression.
I found myself fast skipping through boring chunks of the mechanics just to try to get to a part where the story actually moves forward.
For me at least - this story has lost its way.
Pavi as narrator has done a great job as always.
