About this listen
A GHOST agent fighting the demons of their past.
An expert markswoman determined to save her son.
And the enemies hellbent on tearing them apart.
Needing an outlet from the pain of his past, Axel Dunbar finds salvation in the Army, fighting for his country. Now, eight years later, his strength and security comes as a GHOST agent, righting the wrongs of the world. He's used to getting down and dirty and cleaning up other people's messes, but when the latest mess is his own, everything changes.
Wounded veteran and expert markswoman Bridget Byrnes is a self-sufficient and strong single mother—even with enemies trying to throw her off her game. But running into the man who stole a piece of her heart years ago is more than she ever imagined. He's still the sexy, strong, and irresistible man she remembers. And this time, he's not going anywhere. With a madman hellbent on revenge, her life is in danger. Axel will do anything to defend Bridget.

book 2 still the best
although I love the characters and the complete GHOST setup
I'm finding the plotlines are moving toward the child /family trope, which isn't really a favourite . I'm listening to books that have just as much ops, mystery, and suspense as the lead into babies, but the more I delve into this series, the more i feel the ops are slipping away.
I love the writing, the plot ideas, and the scenes, but I am missing the suspense side.
this one was a second chance story leading to a discovery for our alpha. the endings are becoming very cute and sweet, and all that is family. I know HEA is a romance prerequisite, but i prefer a little more couples than trios.
the angst side of this one kinda includes some of the previous books... (Roxanne), but you won't get lost if you haven't listened as you get a brief catch-up by the characters. it wasn't as in-depth as others in the authors' series and seemed to have characters get into trouble and then get out of it just as quick. good idea, but the stories are just getting a bit too familyfied for me.
marathon. brilliant as always. great voices and tones.

Defending Bridget
A great second chance story which has another ghost member walking down the aisle. Axel met Bridget while on assignment and gave a fake name so she could never get in touch with him, when she is kidnapped he is in the surprise of his life.
