Enjoyed the book but

Overall the book was easy to listen to however there is a lot of domestic violence and marital rape which could be a trigger for some

An engaging story

This isn't the usual formulaic titilating historical romance. It's neither fluffy nor light. There were some rather unpleasant people and moments or references there to, but the story drew me in and kept me engrossed. Aurora was a likeable character, and her sensual persona gave way to erotic encounters that the author did a fantastic job expressing.

Brilliant

Bertrice Small is a wonderful author. She can take us to places we can never ever know by her words. I love this story, I fully recommend.
