Publisher's Summary
Theories that thrill... Realities that kill... A ticking clock...
When an esteemed criminology professor is found lifeless at an international conference, it's up to DCI Whitney Walker and forensic psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish to unravel the mystery.
The professor had unveiled Death's Shadow—a ground-breaking but unsettling theory that could redefine the understanding of serial killers. The theory captivated yet unnerved scholars, leaving a lingering air of dread within the conference halls.
When another delegate meets a gruesome end, it becomes horrifyingly clear: the conference has become a hunting ground. Is Death's Shadow serving as a blueprint for a real-life killer, or has the professor's intellectual arrogance unwittingly unleashed a monster?
Time is running out. As the conference draws to a close, Cavendish & Walker must decode a mind warped by twisted logic. Lives hang in the balance—can they crack the case before Death's Shadow strikes again?

Sally Rigby does it again!
Sally Rigby has created a set of characters who stand up off the page and entrance us with their consistency and realism. I look forward to reading more of the exploits of Whitney & her team as well as her offsider Dr Cavendish.

The forensic psychologist
I love all the cavendish series and just when you think the stories have been exhausted, another one is just as good as the others. I also like how it leads onto the next book do that the reader is eager to get the next one

Interesting subject, something different 🤔
The narrator was great and really brings the characters to life 👍 and despite another review who said this was just a money spinner (how rude😒), it was great to be reacquainted with the characters as it's been a while! I also follow Sally Rigby's other books and characters, and it was nice to hear their names crop up. I also disagree with the review that says the characters aren't developing; the subject matter in this book is quite engrossing and was the backbone of the story, the personal lives of everyone else were touched on enough in my opinion 😊 Looking forward to another one 🤩

Such an easy storyline to follow
Loved the ongoing strong friendship that Whitney and George have. I know of personal friendships that have started the same and pleased to say are still going.

Tired
After listening to the entire series I'm now picking holes in the writing and portrayal of many of the characters.
I was hoping that the author also g with the characters would grow and develop to a deeper level but this is just a money maker and I'm so disappointed to come all this way and nothing to have evolved.
