Publisher's Summary
An all new digital audio edition of DEATH ON THE NILE narrated by Kenneth Branagh, director and star of 20th Century Studios’ upcoming Death on the Nile feature film.
The tranquillity of a cruise along the Nile is shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway has been shot through the head. She was young, stylish and beautiful, a girl who had everything – until she lost her life.
Hercule Poirot recalls an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: ‘I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.’ Yet in this exotic setting nothing is ever quite what it seems…
Kenneth Branagh reprises both his directorial role and that of the iconic detective in the upcoming film adaptation of Death on the Nile. Listen to the book now, and see the thrilling mystery come to life on the big screen soon!
Critic Reviews
“The construction is flawless.”
Daily Mail
“Must be read twice, once for enjoyment and once to see how the wheels go round.” The Times
“The main alibi is of the first brilliance … the descriptive work hits, as it were, the Nile on the head.” Observer
“A peach of a case for Poirot. I take my hat off to the author for as ingenious an alibi as can well be imagined.” Sunday Times

What a ride!
Love prevails in this nail-biting thriller. The twists and turns led to a satisfyingly emotional conclusion. Kenneth Branagh brings this story to life with his phenomenal voices and dark undertones. I was rooting for one particular dame in this book, and she truly was the femme fatale of the Nile.

Bravo Brannagh
Masterful rendition of Agatha’s classic whodunnit. Kenneth brings colour to the many characters and their accents brilliantly.

Underwhelming Narration
I was really excited to listen to this classic narrated by venerable British actor Kenneth Branagh, but felt quite disappointed with his narration. I think he was trying to be unserstated, but his monotone voice just ended up sounding bored and disengaged. He also rushed important sentences together so I ended up missing key plot points and getting characters confused as their dialogue ran together. Branagh is an incredible actor and more than capable of giving each character a distinct voice and Christie's excellent book the dramatic treatment it deserves. Sadly he didn't do that.

Excellent
The best narration experience I’ve had with an audiobook. KB delivers an outstanding performance and I’m glad I selected this version over others because of this.

Branagh is Brilliant
This could be the most enjoyable narration on Audible I’ve heard. Branagh is exceptionally good at playing all the characters. Reckon he must’ve studied each one in depth in preparation for his role in the movie. It’s brilliant and made a 10 hour car journey seem like 30 mins. Want to drive it again.

Just the beautiful details and the way it’s written.
I loved literally everything but I would recommend you read “Death on the Orient Express” first it will make more sense.
