Richard Coleman has made partner in his law firm in record time. Despite his success there is little joy in his life having recently lost his wife in an auto accident. It's been over a year now and he has tried to adjust to the loneliness and emptiness in his life with little success. Then he meets Erica Fox, the 17-year-old daughter of the firm's high-rolling client, Franklin Fox. Fox is divorced and needs someone to be trustee over his estate should something happen to him. After eliminating the usual candidates for the job, Rich ends up being recruited for the task. Shortly thereafter Franklin dies in a skiing accident and Rich assumes his duties as trustee. This brings Rich and Erica together and they soon find themselves in an illicit affair. When Erica's meddling aunt discovers the affair and threatens to blow the whistle on them, she is murdered and Rich and Erica become the prime suspects.

Critic Reviews

"The author weaves his engaging plot through Swiss chalets, Carribean marinas, Texas courtrooms and captivating characters before twisting readers toward a curious conclusion. In this romantic mystery, Manchee's killer seems so certain. Then a sail from the Bahamas turns it upside down. But what a ride along the way! ( The Book Reader)
"Manchee is as proficient as Grisham." ( Dallas Observer)
