Publisher's Summary
‘Grabbed me from the first page’ Ian Rankin
This grave can never be opened.
The head of Scotland’s most powerful crime family is brutally murdered, his body dumped inside an ancient grave in a remote cemetery.
This murder can never be forgotten.
Detectives Max Craigie and Janie Calder arrive at the scene, a small town where everyone has secrets to hide. They soon realise this murder is part of a blood feud between two Scottish families that stretches back to the 1800s. One thing’s for certain: it might be the latest killing, but it won’t be the last…
This killer can never be caught.
As the body count rises, the investigation uncovers large-scale corruption at the heart of the Scottish Police Service. Now Max and Janie must turn against their closest colleagues – to solve a case that could cost them far more than just their lives…

This pair, author and narrator, will have you wishing the book would never end.
How can anyone say they don’t like Angus Kung as a narrator? He’s the one that brings this wonderfully entertaining book by Neil Lancaster to life, the perfect pairing. Can’t wait for more, I love these guys . I just wish they had more work together, perfect way to kill a day……

Another Great Scottish Series to Enjoy
Very entertaining, wonderful storyline with great characters that come to life under Angus King's colourful narration. Well done Neil Lancaster, I look forward to reading the sequels.

I enjoyed it
Enjoyed this book just fine. The narrator is Angus King and I think he’s great. The only thing I could say is that Angus also narrates the DCI Logan series by JD Kirk and being a fan of those audio books, I have listened to them all. Sometimes I started to think I was listening to a DCI Logan book while listening to Dead Man’s Grave, because some of the character voices were very similar. Other than that, an entertaining story and I look forward to more from this author.

An addictive new series
Angus King and a wonderful new detective made for a great 11 hours and 47 minutes, and left me longing for more. Loved the characters, plenty of interest in the story and it’s development, and the narration is perfect. So happy to have found another addictive Tartan Noir series. Looking forward to Book 2

Excellent all round - more please!
Great story, builds to exciting climax. Satisfying plot with lots of intrigue and good guys finding a way to triumph.
Great team -- surely Max has to be promoted by book 2? He's operating way above his pay grade! i like Janie too.
Always love Angus King, doing these stories that traverse the Highlands. His range of Scottish accents is so good that i can forgive the cockney! Inevitable comparisons with JD Kirk books. This one might be even better, plot wise...
