About this listen
The third installment in the bestselling Maple Hills series follows fan-favorite Henry and a bookish fellow student who come up with a plan to help each other in and out of the classroom.
When procrastination lands him in a difficult class with his least favorite professor, Henry Turner knows he’s going to have to work extra hard to survive his junior year of college. And now with his new role as ice hockey captain – which he didn’t even want – Henry absolutely cannot fail. Enter Halle Jacobs, a fellow junior who finds herself befriended by Henry when he accidentally crashes her book club.
Halle may not have the romantic pursuits of her favorite fictional leads, but she’s an academic superstar, and when she hears about Henry’s problems with his class reading material, she offers to help. But being a private tutor isn’t exactly ideal given her own studies, job and the novel she’s trying to write. New experiences are the key to beating her writer’s block, though, and Henry’s promising to be the one to give them to her.
They just need to stick to their rulebook. Oh, and not fall in love.

Henry’s VA was very immersive!
4.5 Stars, I would’ve given the performance a full 5 Stars if Halle’s VA at some points didn’t sound like Siri, her performance was still amazing though!

Funny, flirty and the most genuine characters
As a AuDHDer, Henry and Hallie will forever hold a special place in my heart. Their characters are both so beautiful and true to what love and acceptance can look like in a relationship. Hallie is the embodiment of eldest daughter/ surrogate parent. While Henry is the sweet and gentle artist who navigates sensory issues and regulation difficulties, which was captured so well. The performance was so good. It’s funny, flirty and genuine.

OMG adorable. the perfect romance
I was obsessed with Henry as a character in the first two books of the maple hills series and so was so excited for him to get his own book. I loved the neurodivergent rep in this book and the development of the relationship between Halle and Henry was gorgeous. so many moments I just smiled ridiculously. Getting to see characters from the other books made me so happy, it was like seeing family members after a while. The narrators were awesome and all the voices were amazing! Defining recommend if you loved the first two books!

Definitely worth a listen
This book was so special and so well written! Not only was this book so amazing to listen to, I also loved how the characters were portrayed and how well Hannah Grace wrote about the differences in people, their learning styles, behaviours, mental health issues and just gave light to a topic so many do so poorly in! Hannah knocked it out of the park, I couldn’t stop listening to this book and look forward to listening to more of her work! Definitely worth a listen!

Not Bad
Out of all the Maple Hill books this one comes in 3rd, it wasn't too bad but I admit it was rather slow and a little boring for the first half.
I wouldn't listen to it again but I don't regret listening to it.
