Susan Sterling wanted nothing more than to escape her life...and her marriage. The family's secluded cabin in Kings Canyon National Park seemed the only place for her to find peace. But it took Shawn Weber coming into her life for her to find the courage to make changes. The budding friendship between the two women strengthens into an intense emotional bond, a bond that soon eclipses friendship.

Woman finds happiness!
Some would argue that the ending was a little predictable but the way it happened, the details and the pleasure was truly worth listening to. I’m going to see what other titles I can find by the author!

So great to get another Gerri Hill narrated by Abby
After going down a rabbit hole of Radclyffe and feeling so frustrated by the poor storytelling and really awkward narration I was so grateful to be able to go back to this author and my favourite narrator for what was a really beautiful story. I know these books are never going to be Pulitzer prizewinners but they are good for the soul and great escapism. How bloody good is Abby!!!!

I need to go camping
Great story and narrated perfectly. It's a feel good romance with the incorporation of some painful family members, finding oneself and there's a dog! Sweet and engaging
