About this listen
Poppy is nothing special. She was making ends meet and trying to enjoy life. But a strange necklace caught her eye at the thrift store. Now, three gorgeous men have stumbled into her life, and she's torn between being terrified and excited. That is, until they tell her she is the future queen of the Underworld.
Not only that, but she needs to bond with her hellhounds - the three heads of Cerberus - and protect the Underworld from a goddess who wants it for herself. Forced to face unnatural enemies, and too-sexy-for-their-own-good men, Poppy must choose: Keep the life she's always had, or take her rightful place as queen. If she survives.
Contains mature themes.

Different take of Persephone
I like the different spin of the story of Persephone and ceberus. Although the story seemed to jump from 0 - 100 in short time.
Overall pretty good.

Pleasantly surprised
I’m digging the FMC who doesn’t freak out, remains calm and has a ‘let’s get on with it’ attitude. There’s no angsty denial or resistance to the ‘family heritage-destiny’ factor in the part of the FMC and her comfort with her sexuality … and ease with which she notices but then quickly overcomes any insecurities that pop up is refreshing.
I’m enjoying what feels like a pretty chill/cruisey vibe from the guys aswell which is a welcome relief - personal preference - to the over protective makes trope. The dynamic between the FMC & makes is more on the ‘trust the FMC’ and we’ll work it out together tip.
The story is only beginning to unfold in this book so off to the second one
