Peter Altenberg, eigentlich Richard Engländer, war ein österreichischer Schriftsteller. Sein Pseudonym wählte er nach dem Rufnamen „Peter“ seiner Jugendliebe Berta Lecher, die in Altenberg an der Donau (heute Ortsteil der Gemeinde St. Andrä-Wördern) wohnte.
Ich versäumte abends den Zug nach Wien. Der Oberkellner in dem »Waldhotel« hatte nämlich den letzten Zug selbstverständlich falsch angegeben.
