About this listen
Darkfall marks the beginning of a stunning trilogy from one of Australia's leading writers of fantasy.
After the death of her parents and her beloved instructor, Wind, Glynn devotes herself to the care of her sick twin sister, feeling her own life to be unimportant. One night, during a midnight swim, she is swept across the Void to the troubled watery world of Keltor, through a portal created to summon the mythical Unraveller.
What is the mysterious connection between Glynn's world and Keltor? And why does the man who rescued her from the waves bear an eerie resemblance to Wind?
This powerful, compelling saga, instalment one of the Legendsong, is set in a mysterious, uncertain world that only this award-winning Australian author could create.

Another great audio book by Isobelle Carmody
I would like to personally thank Isobelle Carmody for giving me something amazing to listen to on the long commute to and from work! The Obernewtyn Chronicles and the Legendsong Trilogy are the perfect escapes after a long day. After I read them as a child I've had a hard time rereading through them as I know what's going to happen and focus on what I think are the good bits. Instead the audiobook lets me listen to the entire story again and I discover the magical writing of the author who trasports me to Keltor and beyond. And read by the author which I love since they know the important stresses and the accents/voices each character should have. I highly recommend!

One of my all time favourite books
I struggled with mental health as a teen, this series had a significant impact on helping me to escape the challenges of reality. I can't put words to how much it helped me during times of dark depression. Isobel has a way of writing that sucks you into the abyss, and subconsciously embedding hope into your soul. I have read and listened to this and the 2nd book more times than I can count. Isobel's voice is calming and gentle. Almost 20 years later, I still enjoy it as much as the day I first read it. I honestly can't wait for the last book to be published.
