Not may favuorite christina lauren book.
This was a hard book to get through. I love and rave about Christina Lauren and recommend their to books to friends that like sexy, strong female characters; one liners that make you laugh out loud and want to share; plot lines that you can watch unfold and enjoy the ride.
Dark wild nights just fell flat, I found the main character Lola; boring, sad and detached. I usually really enjoy Shayna Thibodeaux notation but I found she took lots of long pauses that made the book slow. Steve West did a great Aussie accent, he was sexy and I loved the character of Oliver, I think that side of things was fairly enjoyable. All I can say is I couldn't wait to finish it so it was over. I didn't feel any connection to the characters or story line.
I love these girls and their writing and love that through glimpses we can visit our old friends, but this book was disappointing. I really hope the next one is better..
