Publisher's Summary
There are only two ways a human can cross the gates of Bloodstone Institute: as a familiar to one of the Blueblood vampires who attend the elite school or as a snack.
I'm neither, but I have to get in at all costs. My brother made a big mistake, and now I have to fix it by stealing from the most powerful and cruel vampire to ever come to Bloodstone, Lucca Della Morte. If that wasn't almost suicidal, I need to get it done before the spell concealing my human nature wears off.
But I forget that I'm only pretending to be a vampire. I'm still human and susceptible to Lucca's dangerous allure. His darkness calls to my soul. His savagery makes my blood sing. I'm falling for the dark prince, craving him in a visceral way that's frightening and exciting at the same time.
If he discovers my secret, he'll destroy me. And yet, I can't help wanting to get closer. I never thought I had a death wish until I met him.
Contains mature themes.

Kiss of life or death?
Absolutely loved it. The narrators brought the author's words to life. They were picked well for the story. I could believe that was how the characters sounded, which only made the immersion that much better. To think that Lucas's kiss could be death to someone like Vivian, but their love changed it to a kiss of life for Luca, and his curse was broken.

Loved every minute
Narration was next level and really sounded like I imagine the characters would sound. Great story although a little predictable. If you love vampire stories or for fans of Tracy Wolff I recommend it.

Really enjoyed it!
Good story, started a bit slow but thats normal with world building. Love the charachters, wish i got a bit more background with them all but im assuming they will likely be included in the next few books. Loved the narrators, they did a great job. Will be reading the next one!

Great read!
The first couple of chapters were slow and I almost gave up thinking the book wasn’t for me. But I’m glad I did as I thought the book was great! Enough intrigue and mystery, and loved seeing the relationship progress. The narrator did a great job

Very gripping
Loved everything until the end. We should have been given a clear HEA rather peak our interest with Aurora's and Saxon's story 😭.

***Vampires and Nightingales***
I love Michelle Hercules this is my 2nd book from her and I'm not disappointed. It's a paged turner with lots of angst drama and heat. I am a big fan of Mindy Kennedy and Troy Duran both are brilliant in their narrative.

A good listen/read
I feel like this is what you'd get if you take elements from Twilight, Vampire Academy and Game of Thrones.
I would have liked some culture shock from a vampire that's been asleep for almost a century, besides a late Harry Potter reference.
The story was good. The narration was also good.
