Die frischgebackene Cafébesitzerin Lena findet lästigerweise eine Leiche in ihrem Hinterhof. Als ob sie mit der anstehenden Mieterhöhung und dem Verdacht der Fahrerflucht nicht schon Ärger genug hätte. Darüber hinaus ist da auch noch die Sache mit dem charmanten Hugo. Vor solchen Blendern hat ihre Mutter sie schon immer gewarnt. Mithilfe von Kater Misti, ungerechterweise auch Mistvieh genannt, und dem "dementen Trio", das alles andere als dement, sondern ziemlich plietsch ist, klärt die Pfälzerin Lena im hohen Norden Morde auf. Dabei gewinnt sie nicht nur die Nordlichter, sondern auch Butterkuchen richtig lieb. Humorvoller Cosy-Krimi mit interessanten Charakteren.
