Detective Inspector Karen Eiken Hornby is not the only person to have returned to her native island nation, Doggerland, after years abroad. Nothing goes unnoticed in the tight-knit community—certainly not the arrival, or disappearance, of a world-famous singer. So, while the rest of the force is frantically searching for a suspect whose brutal attacks on women are increasing in intensity and frequency, a reluctant Karen is tasked with discreetly looking into Luna's whereabouts.
As time ebbs away so does the possibility of finding Luna alive, while Karen faces seemingly impossible choices, ones that could spell life or death, both for herself and others.

Terrible narrating
I love the previous books. The narration was very annoying. That Karin has near death experiences every year and the the story line regarding the relationship, this is so far fetch it was getting ridiculous.

Gripping.
The storyline of all 3 of this series have been gripping, well written & with good characters. Excellent. I've also enjoyed the idiosyncracies of the location. I'm sorry to say that I didnt enjoy this narrator as much as the original one. This woman rushes through sentences & seems to ignore full stops.

A worthy addition to the series
The story rolled along nicely, with a satisfying ending. Great to see the characters evolve from the previous books.
I thought the narrator did an excellent job too.
