Publisher's Summary
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.
Then there's Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn't felt anything for a hundred years. But there's something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what's broken in me.
Which could spell death for us all.
Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I'm wondering if I was brought here intentionally - as the bait.

Ya
Excessive use of abbreviations. Still enjoyable overall. Will give the next book in series a go.

Great story
I quite enjoyed this story and narration. Definitely YA but a great kind. Looking forward to listening to more books in this series.

underwhelmed
This book was ok, but it really didn't capture me at all. I felt it was a bit repetitive at times, and overall, it was slow. Wasn't a huge fan of the narration either, but it wasn't horrible. This just fell flat for me on all accounts

Another great YA vampire story
While there were a lot of parallels to be drawn with Twilight, Crave still had plenty of its own plot and character development, especially with the twist at the end! I'll definitely keep reading this series!

experienced readers avoid
the premise of the storyline and character development was notable however the language used in this fantasy novel was lacking, constant abrieviations of the main character narrating the story like reading a text message and the lack descriptive analogies where statements such as 'cold, like really really cold' were used constantly. hopefully the writing and style matures with the main characters? it's not bad, I'm just not the target audience.
