About this listen
For six years Anya Korbin worked with Del-Rey Delgato—the genetically altered rebel known as the Coyote Ghost—to free a group of coyote women kept in her father’s lab. As Anya matured into a woman, she and Del-Rey grew close…but then he broke his promise and killed her father. Now she must deal with her animalistic desire for the one who betrayed her.

Brilliant
Del-Rey Delgato alpha of the coyotes is in for the ride of his life with his mate Anya Korbin if he is to stand a chance of keeping his mate he is going to have to stop the stupid decisions he keeps making but, to do so he will have to overcome the stubborn arrogance of a Breed male and that’s not so easy for him and he just might lose his mate before he works it out. A highly entertaining story full of laughter, betrayal, deep sadness and all consuming passion which I highly recommend as well as the series as a whole because it one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

The narrator did a better job with the accents.
AUDIBLE REVIEW
The audible version was pretty good.
The narrator did a better job with the accents in this one than with Mercury’s War.
I just felt worse when innocent Carlin dies and I teared up when everything happened between Anya and Jax causing such upset.
You get a stronger feeling of how things are shaping up for the Breeds and how treacherous the human council in Advent are.
BOOK REVIEW
One very convoluted story but one of my favourites in this series. I just loved the complexities of this story. Too much to put in a review and do it justice.
Del-Rey is the ultimate council trained coyote leader. He is cool headed, a military genius, a brilliant leader. Unluckily for the council he didn’t like their way of life and now leads a band of rebel coyotes.
Moving to be near Wolves Haven he finds a great set of caves in the mountain and makes a base there.
Planning an attack on one of the Russian labs he is met by an informant, Anya, a young girl who gives him information.
Years pass and Anya grows up but still Del Ray has not helped the breeds escape the Russian lab.
When the attack does happen, Del Ray betrays Anya. Then the mating heat forces a bond between them.
The first separation between a breed and his mate is in this book. But the really good part is that the coyotes are forced to truly start communicating with the other Breeds and get a start on becoming part of the Breed Enclaves and Cabinet that have formed.
Unfortunately for Del Ray, he is also an idiot when it comes to his mate, Anya. He does everything wrong from the get go. I did love when he finally went after her and how he stood up to the Breed hierarchy.
I have owned these books for years and reread them often but my earlier reviews are missing.
