About this listen

This is the story of how a little green dinosaur came to help the children during the COVID-19 lockdown. Two tales in one.

In the first story, we meet Emily, who is missing her former life. Covi the little green dinosaur tells her why it's important to stay at home safe and describes how the world is healing and mystical creatures came out to play while the people stay at home.

The second story is "Covi's Big Day Out!" The little green dinosaur wants to help, so he tries different frontline professions, including driving a London bus. He takes his mystical friends for a day out at the seaside.

Extract:

"Emily sat by her bedroom window, looking down on to the street.

There were no cars or delivery vans, no neighbors chatting as they meet.

But then, she spied the strangest sight! It made her blink and roar.

For, there upon the village green was a little green dinosaur!"
